SSNIT Student Loan Repayments

Information for former students
GHIB is working with Ghana’s Social Security and National Insurance Trust to help beneficiaries of the SSNIT student loan scheme now living overseas to complete their repayments.

Loans need to be repaid before guarantors can be released from their obligations which may be affecting their retirement benefits.

Check your balance
If you haven’t completed your repayments, the first step is to check your balance. You can either:

You’ll need to provide these details:
Your name
Your Ghanaian government social security number
The start and completion dates of the institutions you attended.

Make repayments
If you’re in the UK you can send cheques or arrange transfers to:
